JOB TITLE: Assistant Finance Manager (Maternity Cover)
REPORTS TO: Finance Manager
DIRECT REPORTS: None
HRS: 37.5 hours per week
LOCATION: Feltham, Middlesex
Job Description:
Manage accounts payable for all Group companies, working with the Accounts Assistants to ensure all purchase invoices are correctly authorised, coded and posted onto Dimensions, ensuring VAT is correctly treated and posted
Manage sales ledger and credit control, producing regular cash reports for all Group companies including reconciling monthly Services revenue and inputting onto Dimensions, raising, coding and posting sales invoices for remaining Divisions and ensuring close liaison with Commercial and Revenue Analysts. Ensuring that all contractual sales invoices are raised on time.
Support Finance Manager in preparing divisional management accounts profit and loss and balance sheets
Support Finance Manager in management and maintenance of Dimensions
Complete monthly bank reconciliations for all Group companies
Set up payments on electronic banking system
Review and process expenses for STAFF
Manage fixed assets register for all Group companies
Manage accruals and prepayments for all group companies
Balance sheet reconciliations
Provide regular adhoc reports / information on costs and revenues to Finance team and to the operating business
Person Specification:
- Part qualified CIMA/ACCA/AAT/CBE
- At least 5 years experience working within a finance team in a small to medium sized company
- Good communicator and team member
- Ability to deal with range of different staff, both junior and senior
- Good working knowledge of VAT and taxes related to expenses and International transactions
- Good excel skills
- Experience with Dimensions accounting software (very useful but not essential as training will be
given)
- Ability to perform duties with minimum supervision
