Summary
Secure sales from new and existing clients through appropriate means
Main Responsibilities include:-
1. Product-lead sales
- Research, identify and secure target lists for Products in conjunction with Directors. These should be de-duped against existing database and procured mailing list.
- Develop “media packs” for Products, liaising with Account Manager and Production.
- Approach targets and achieve sales through phone, mailings, html e-mail and face-to-face presentations as necessary.
2. Selling portfolio
- As a secondary sales focus, the Account Manager (AM) should be aware of the full range of products, alliances and services. The opportunity to offer alternatives to key Products should be maximised.
- The AM should be acquainted with companies approach, style and USP over other competitors. This should be adopted at all times.
3. Account Responsibility
- When a business deal is secured, the job becomes live and responsibility for fulfilment should be handed over to the Account Manager and Production.
- The AM, as the key account contact that introduced the sale, will retain ultimate responsibility for ensuring that the Product is delivered with 100% accuracy, with necessary written agreements and approvals achieved on all sides, with a paper trail for all project correspondence and within the agreed delivery schedule.
4. New Product Development / lead generation
- Monitor marketing media, competitor mailings, Websites and live sales promotion campaigns for competitor activity or ideas.
- Assess current trends in the market place or consumer lifestyles, which could give rise to natural promotional rewards i.e. for health or beauty
- Keep in touch with advances in technological solutions which may generate new opportunities, i.e. SMS or the Internet
- Plan ahead of seasonal or sporting events to add an extra hook to possible sales pitches
5. General
- Ensure integrity and quality of data is maintained
- Present status of approaches and live briefs at Monday Morning Meeting.
- File and store all project related quotes, contracts and correspondence until a job is no longer live.
- Assist with recruitment process for urgent live jobs as required.
- Strive to add value to the business model at all times.
